BPM Projects was established over eleven years ago with a clear purpose: to deliver high-quality, bespoke agile project delivery and engineering solutions within the Energy and Mining sectors.
The business was founded by Mark Butters, who harnessed his extensive global experience in capital project delivery in the Energy and Mining sectors, with the view of creating fit for purpose, commercially robust and client-centered project solutions.
BPM’s approach since 2015 has been driven by the delivery of high-quality work demonstrated through disciplined project execution, transparent communication, strong stakeholder coordination and a solutions-focused mindset.
Through consistent performance and a commitment to quality, BPM has formed strong, long-term relationships with our clients who regard us as a reliable and trusted resource in the successful delivery of their projects.

BPM takes pride in the development of our people, to the benefit of our people, the business and our clients. Our team undertakes regular professional planning and review to ensure that professional aspirations meet business objectives. Additionally, we place a strong emphasis on ensuring our technical resources are, or are working towards, their pathway to NER or CPEng in their discipline.
Additionally, our Operations team are qualified and educated in their respective roles including project management, information management, project controls and financial management to ensure there is an integrated and consistent approach to our projects and processes.

Mark Butters
Managing Director
Mark Butters possesses 40 years’ experience in development and delivery of complex major engineering projects within the resources industries including downstream oil and gas, mining, metals and chemicals industry sectors.
Mark has worked throughout the world managing capital projects through the full value chain from feasibility study to commissioning. His extensive international experience has seen him manage capital works projects for top tier operating companies such as BHP, Shell, Orica, Caltex, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and MMG.
Samantha Burt
Operations Manager
As BPM Project’s Operations Manager, Samantha provides operational leadership that underpins the company’s performance and stability. With over 15 years of industry experience, Samantha’s commitment to quality and strong management expertise has consistently contributed to the successful delivery of our projects.
Samantha plays a critical role in driving organisational efficiency at BPM through strategic planning, effective resource coordination, and proactive stakeholder engagement. Her leadership cultivates a professional, high-performing environment that enhances collaboration, strengthens reliability, and builds confidence across both our team and our clients.
